All Hands December 2024: A celebration of tradition and multiculturalism

On December 12th and 13th, the q.beyond ibérica team had the opportunity to experience two very special days where the magic of Christmas and the hard work of the entire year came together in a unique experience.

It was the perfect chance to enjoy time as a team, reflect on our achievements, and, of course, connect with Spanish traditions and the rich culture of Jerez—so valuable for a team as multicultural as ours.

We began Thursday with a traditional and delicious breakfast: churros with hot chocolate. For many, it was a chance to experience a local tradition, enjoying the warmth of the chocolate and the company of our colleagues.

The day continued with a speech from Artur H., our General Director, who took the opportunity to thank the entire team for their hard work and dedication throughout 2024. He encouraged us to make the most of these two days together, highlighting how, month after month, we continue to progress, grow as a team, and add talent, which enables us to tackle new projects with even more strength. With that energy, there’s no doubt that 2025 will be a year full of new challenges and great achievements for all of us.

After the welcome, the q.beyond ibérica team got back to work without missing a beat. Although the festive atmosphere remained, everyone stayed focused on what we need to do: move forward. We celebrated our achievements but never lost sight of the fact that the work continues, and each step brings us closer to our goals for the upcoming year. Let’s keep pushing ahead with determination!

In the afternoon, we headed to downtown Jerez to enjoy a Christmas lunch, which was not only filled with laughter and delicious food, but also allowed us to experience Christmas the Jerez way. As a multicultural team, these shared moments gave us the opportunity to discover how Christmas is celebrated in Spain, and more specifically, in this unique region. Every tradition, every dish, every toast allowed us to enrich ourselves and connect more deeply—not only as colleagues but also as people from different parts of the world.

Friday began with another delightful Spanish Christmas tradition: the roscón de reyes. A delicious breakfast that not only gave us the energy to continue with the day but also allowed us to enjoy one of Spain’s most cherished customs. The game of finding the “haba” or the “king’s figurine” inside the roscón added a fun and special touch, turning this moment into something much more than just a meal. It became an occasion to share laughter and good times together.

To close this special All Hands event, we celebrated the much-anticipated “Amigo Invisible” (Secret Santa), which featured an unexpected surprise: Santa Claus appeared to distribute sweets, and an Iberian bull—symbolizing the “ibérica” of q.beyond ibérica—was brought out to be “toreado” (bullfought) by Santa himself. It was a playful gesture that perfectly represented the union between our roots and the local culture, leaving everyone with a smile.

These two days of All Hands were not only an opportunity to celebrate a 2024 full of achievements but also to learn and enjoy Spanish traditions and the beauty of Christmas in Jerez. As a multicultural team, each of these experiences was a gift that not only enriched us as professionals but also brought us closer together as a team. We close out 2024 with the certainty that, by working together, 2025 will be an even greater year.

See you at the next All Hands!
