All Hands March 2024: Exploiting synergies across departments

On 7 and 8 March, we had an exceptional experience at the first All Hands event in 2024, organised by our technology partner, WATA Factory.

Once again, the event exceeded all our expectations with its learning and collaboration environment.

We really enjoyed the training sessions offered by both WATA Factory employees and our own colleagues from q.beyond ibérica. We were able to explore a variety of topics from different departments, but without a doubt the workshops on SAP and Cloud, two of our core areas, had the biggest impact on us.

To start the day, our two new colleagues from Hungary prepared an authentic Hungarian breakfast for us, which awakened our senses with a variety of flavours. But what really won us over was the téliszalámi, a type of Hungarian salami made from Mangalica pork and a special blend of spices.  A real treat that leaves you wanting more!!

We were then able to take part in two further workshops on the subject of SAP. We learnt about the latest trends, best practices and implementation success stories. These discussions were not only informative, but also very inspiring, as we were able to exchange ideas with our colleagues and learn a lot from their experiences. At q.beyond ibérica, SAP is a fundamental tool that we use to optimise operational efficiency, improve internal collaboration and deliver high-quality business solutions.

Then we jumped into the training workshops. As cloud experts, it was a real pleasure to attend Antonio’s training with his workshop “Monitoring your systems with Datadog”, where we explored strategies and best practices to optimise system performance and reliability with Datadog.

At the same time, some of our colleagues took part in the filming of audiovisual scenes for the nationwide distribution of q.beyond ibérica.

Then it was time for lunch, so we all went together to a nearby restaurant where we enjoyed a hearty and delicious lunch. We took advantage of this relaxed atmosphere to get to know each other better, share anecdotes, reflect on what we had learnt and prepare for the upcoming workshops.

At the end of the day, we switched off the computers and… we got the drinks out! We decided to relax at the end of the day, have a good time together, have a drink and a chat. These moments are not only fun, but also strengthen our team cohesion, which is essential for working together.

The next day, after the traditional Andalusian breakfast, it was time to welcome the new members of the q.beyond ibérica team. No less than six people have recently joined the q.beyond ibérica family and had the opportunity to break the ice with the rest of the team by sharing a little about their backgrounds and some details about themselves.

The day ended with a well-deserved lunch in the office, where we shared our impressions and reflections on what we had learnt as a team. It was undoubtedly the perfect end to the day and we said goodbye until the next All Hands.

We would like to thank all the speakers who made this event possible and shared their talent with the other colleagues, and we are already looking forward to the next All Hands event in June!
